Penta Wins the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Penta closed the night with the men’s Money in the Bank briefcase, emerging from a six-person match featuring established stars and rising contenders. The victory provides him with a contract for a world championship opportunity at a time of his choosing within the next year.

One of the match’s biggest moments involved Je’Von Evans, who was taken away for medical attention before unexpectedly returning in an ambulance. Evans resumed competing, but Bron Breakker later tipped a large ladder and sent him crashing through the roof of the vehicle at ringside.

In the closing sequence, Penta stopped Breakker from taking the briefcase, then delivered a Mexican Destroyer onto a ladder bridged between the ropes and the standing ladder. With his opponents unable to stop him, Penta climbed and retrieved the contract.

The win puts Penta squarely into WWE’s world championship conversation following his recent World Heavyweight Title match with Reigns on Raw.

Tiffany Stratton Wins Women’s Money in the Bank for a Second Time

Tiffany Stratton became a two-time women’s Money in the Bank winner in New Orleans. Having previously captured the briefcase in 2024 and cashed in to win the WWE Women’s Championship in January 2025, Stratton entered the event with firsthand experience of what the contract can mean.

Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, Lash Legend, Jacy Jayne and Lola Vice battled Stratton in a ladder match marked by hard falls and interrupted climbs. In the deciding moments, Stratton overcame Legend near the top of a ladder and took possession of the briefcase.

Stratton now has another opportunity to influence the women’s championship picture, and her future cash-in will be one of WWE’s ongoing storylines.

Liv Morgan Wins the Women’s World Championship

Liv Morgan scored the night’s championship change by defeating Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat Match. Morgan capitalized late in the contest, connecting with Oblivion on Vaquer and pinning the defending champion to claim the Women’s World Championship.

The outcome leaves Vaquer without the title and raises immediate questions about the next challenger. With Stratton simultaneously holding the Money in the Bank contract, the women’s division now has both a new champion and a potential surprise title contender.

Roman Reigns Defeats LA Knight to Retain World Heavyweight Title

Roman Reigns successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in the opening match. Knight repeatedly threatened to end the reign, including a near fall after countering a Spear into his BFT.

The action spilled outside, where Knight sent Reigns through the barricade and followed with a powerbomb through the commentary table. Reigns survived the challenger’s offense and eventually secured the pinfall following a final Spear.

After the match, The 946 appeared and confronted Reigns from the crowd. The Usos and Solo Sikoa became involved, triggering a brawl that carried out of the arena and into the parking area, keeping The Bloodline’s ongoing conflict in the spotlight.

Oba Femi Defeats Bronson Reed

Oba Femi continued his momentum with a victory over Bronson Reed. The match included interference involving members of The Vision, but Femi survived the disruption and finished Reed with the Fall From Grace for the pinfall.

Femi’s win over a powerful established opponent adds to his recent run of notable WWE victories.

What Happens After WWE Money in the Bank 2026?

Penta and Tiffany Stratton leave New Orleans holding contracts that could change a championship at any point over the next year. Liv Morgan begins another Women’s World Championship reign, while Reigns remains champion and faces unresolved issues involving The Bloodline and The 946.

Monday Night Raw on October 12 is the next major opportunity for WWE to address the fallout. For now, the central WWE Money in the Bank 2026 results are clear: two briefcases changed hands, one world championship changed hands, and Reigns survived a serious challenge from LA Knight.
