AEW delivers four championship matches, a major return, and significant developments ahead of WrestleDream.

All Elite Wrestling made history Tuesday night with its first-ever event in France, presenting AEW Grand Slam France from the Adidas Arena in Paris.

The special edition of AEW Dynamite featured six matches, including four championship defenses, with Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada headlining the historic international event.

Despite several competitive championship encounters, all four defending champions successfully retained their titles.

Will Ospreay Defeats Kazuchika Okada in Main Event

AEW World Champion Will Ospreay successfully defended his championship against longtime rival Kazuchika Okada in the evening’s main event.

The two competitors continued a rivalry dating back to their time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where Okada had historically held a significant advantage over Ospreay.

Following an intense championship encounter, Ospreay connected with the Hidden Blade to secure the pinfall victory and retain his title.

After the match, Samoa Joe appeared on the entrance stage, signaling his intentions to pursue the AEW World Championship.

Ospreay now turns his attention toward WrestleDream on October 17, where he is scheduled to defend the championship in AEW’s newly introduced Clockwork Carnage match.

Mercedes Moné Retains; Thekla Sends a Message

AEW Women’s World Champion Mercedes Moné continued her championship reign with a successful defense against Queen Aminata.

Aminata delivered a competitive performance against the champion, but Moné ultimately secured the victory with the Moné Maker.

However, the celebration was short-lived.

Following the match, Thekla entered the ring and attacked Moné with a spear before posing with the championship.

The confrontation continued building anticipation for their upcoming championship encounter at WrestleDream.

Darby Allin Survives Brutal TNT Championship Defense

One of the evening’s most physically demanding encounters saw TNT Champion Darby Allin successfully defend against Kyle Fletcher.

Both competitors delivered an aggressive performance featuring several high-impact maneuvers.

Allin suffered a bloody injury during the contest but continued fighting, ultimately securing the victory after delivering two Coffin Drops.

The victory allowed Allin to continue his championship reign following another punishing title defense.

Samoa Joe Advances to Clockwork Carnage

Former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe returned to singles competition against Jack Perry in a qualifying match for WrestleDream’s Clockwork Carnage encounter.

Despite a determined effort from Perry, Joe secured the victory following his signature Muscle Buster.

The result guarantees Joe an opportunity to compete for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream.

His subsequent appearance following the Ospreay–Okada main event reinforced his championship ambitions.

Additional Results and Developments

ROH World Champion Bandido successfully defended his championship against Kofi, securing the victory with the 21-Plex.

The match also featured ringside tensions involving Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, continuing their ongoing rivalry.

Elsewhere, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle defeated Jon Moxley and Gabe Kidd in tag team action.

Davis secured the victory by pinning Kidd following a gutwrench piledriver, giving the Don Callis Family an important victory over the Death Riders. Bleacher Report
