Solo Sikoa vs Royce Keys

Willis’s review

Solo visibly head butts his own forearm 3 times right into the camera. I mean, dude... what are we doing here? If you can't do it in a way that looks authentic, why do it at all?

the sloppiest cross body ever executed by Hobbs. Appeared to be both men's fault. Communication issue perhaps?

so far, this is a match that most people can have. They are throwing sloppy punches and just running into each other. This is living room wrestling, with better pacing.

most impressive thing so far was a simple basic suplex delivered by Hobbs and followed by a power slam

this crowd is gonna fall asleep before the end of smackdown if they keep this up.

and the only way to make this worse... a classic WWE no contest main event. my eyes are rolling into my fucking skull

i cant include the post match brawl in this rating. The rating represents the match and the match only

This is my first posted review of a modern day WWE match.
Both these guys can truly go. I hope management gave their blessing for these two to tear it up.

WWE telegraphs people losing the title by discussing "The reign" the champion has had. I really hope that's not what they are doing here, but it certainly feels that way. They keep discussing the reign, rather than the match.

Simple (yet effective) story so far: Gables neck hurts, Ego is exploiting that.

I am engaged, its a decent match. I can't imagine they will have a better match than this tonight, but i hope so.

They are making the IC title feel like its worth fighting for, this is good.

They been going at it for around 15 mins i believe

That felt like a WWE ppv match. Well done passing the belt and giving Ego a solid foundation to begin his reign.

Conglomeration 10-0 on Collision

I enjoyed the Austin Gunn being trapped in a seesaw spot

Austin is one of the best sellers in the biz, consistently.

Willis’s review

Priest is dope. We all know who we think of when we see Priest. It's spoooooky (it's Halloween)

Priest is so fricking technically sound, much like some other guy.... I'm just waiting for this dude to hit a flying headbutt

Great in ring storytelling/psych with Priest focusing Takeshitas knee to level the playing field against a more than worthy adversary.

Best Raging Fire i have seen, my boy Priest got up there.

The way they book this guy, i think he is gonna get a chance soon. A real chance. More likely it will be a run in the ROH pure division. If that comes to fruition, i will be watching ROH every week.

Security John’s review

Has nothing to do with the match, but Adam Priest reminds me of a more advanced Jamie Noble
Priest is looking really impressive.
Crazy top rope tornado DDT. I guess when you're a leap year baby, you gotta try a little harder.
The Alpha looks great as always.

Darius Martin looking impressive early. Good, fun technical open. Both men looked great. Really fun match.

Ilja was built for this place. This is a great choice for his second opponent. Mortos can match Iljas Physicality

Ilja does a dope deadlift and holds him there before hitting a modified german suplex. Very impressive.

Enjoyable bout.

Security John’s review

Good solid second match. I'm excited to see what's to come for Dragunov. I think this company will suit him much better than where he just came from.

I love me some Joshi, pumped.

So there is a part where Fuwa-Chan is taking offense from all 3 girls, and she is just going in the wrong direction with each sell. She jumps out the ring like a full two Mississippi after getting hit the opposite direction. This aggravated me.

Koguma is the mvp of this match. All her offense looks great.

Security John’s review

Great teamwork from Trinity These three can really work.

This was a very entertaining six-woman tag match.

Really hope to see these three women compete in AEW again.

Wanted it to be a little better. Was decent, but i wanted more.

New champion, and all the face ladies come out to jump up and down

Security John’s review

ersephone Attacking the tape on the back of Aminata's neck seems really fucking stupid. What an odd spot. Big win for the Queen. Decent stiff match. Certainly didn't feel like main event caliber. Maybe it's just me.

There is no such thing as a double main event... that's a cop out, period.

Enjoyable bout, best of the night thus far.

Tombstone through chair spot was not needed, but i get it i guess.
Ironically, it looked safer than the dragon screw Darby took at the very start of the match.

Security John’s review

I know at this point it just seems rhetorical, but god damn, the bumps Darby Allin takes are insane. German suplex on the apron looked nasty.

I personally think getting your opponent stuck in the ring skirt is a stupid spot.

It feels like a comical amount of this match takes place on the apron.

Holy shit, Alexander's poor knees on that tombstone chair spot.

Really unique roll-up pin For the. finish.

FTR vs MCMG #3

Match type: Tag Team

Willis2.98 / 5
Security John2.35 / 5
WIF average2.665 / 5
Willis’s review

This whole series thing feels stale. Even if it had actual stakes, it would still feel stale.

Its good, but it just feels empty.
FTR looks bored, especially Dax. It is like he is just through the motions.

FTR DID THE STUPID NONSENSICAL FLIP SPOT THEY DID LAST MATCH. OKAY, WTF MAN? WHAT IN THE FUCCKKKK

MCMG get the win and are up 2-1
I wonder who wins next... eye roll. Massive fucking eye roll.

Security John’s review

This best of five is starting to feel flat quickly. I'm not even really sure what the stakes of the whole thing are? just the title of greatest tag team?

The back-to-back do-si-do was ridiculous. What a stupid fucking spot.

Speaking of stupid spots what is up with FTR's little backflip thing? Why is this added to the arsenal all of a sudden?

Really sloppy finish.
Trading wins. I can't imagine who's going to win the next one. Like we didn't know from the beginning this was guaranteed to go to five.

Kyle Fletcher vs Jack Perry

Match type: SinglesWinner / result: Kyle Fletcher

Willis2.53 / 5
Security John2.39 / 5
WIF average2.46 / 5
Willis’s review

I am a fan of when Callis is on commentary. He remains oddly unbiased for the most part and consistently manages to compliment and put over the opponents. He walks the line in such an interesting way to me.

We don't talk enough about how impressive Fletchers transformation is. It is reminiscient of Drew McIntyre

Perry takes a wicked powerbomb off the side of the apron. It hurt

I do not agree with Jack kicking out of the brainbuster. It does not need to happen, he has proved his resiliency.

If you go back and watch, there is a shot of the commentary table from the ring. To the left of Taz, you can see a visibly upset African American woman shaking her head in disappointment. She is the physical embodiment of how i feel in this moment. She is kin.

Perry bit Kyles dick... it is implied he bit his dick while holding him in powerbomb position. I mean... dude what? I was just enjoying this match a couple mins ago, what happened?

Jack needs a different submission, he is too small to believably pull off the move and commentary had to cover for him by saying he didn't have all of it.

They botch Kyles turnbuckle brain buster finisher. Jack hits on the second rope. I mean, what the heck happened to this match?

Security John’s review

What a fun little rib on Taz by Jack.

Jack Perry sliding under the ring to get behind Kyle Fletcher was a fun setup.

That apron power bomb was disgusting. And Fletcher was definitely supposed to catch him, so the one-two makes it seem even worse.

Absolutely beautiful hurricanrana from the apron to the floor, followed up by a quick top rope moonsault to the floor by Jack Perry. This kid is impressive.

Okay, dick biting was crazy.

What the fuck happened with that brainbuster finish? He almost Crippled. Jack Perry.

Willis’s review

Mox is a workhorse. It's heartwarming how much this guy goes through for what he loves.

The Last Outfit got rejected evidently lol
They are now "The Cut"
Honestly, a lateral move in my opinion.

This match should rule.

Crowd is hotttt

aw man they botched a near fall and Jay was definitely down for 3 due to the legit tightness of Garcia's hold
Crowd starts booing.
"Don't smack the audience in the face and say 'this is fake'" - paraphrased Cornette

Massive Wheeler Yuta pop and a dirty win for The Cut
Jay pins Garcia

The botched near fall hurt the rating

*Post match*
Claudio needs the big belt at some point. Not a tv belt, not the continental, the world heavyweight championship. I know he doesn't need it, its what i wanna see before he is gone. I want to see him be the guy.

Good clean tag match to open the show. Nothing necessarily jumped out, but this match had a greater purpose.

This has to be good. This has to be fun. These are my thoughts pre match.

Very strong start

Excellent stuff. Jay using his counter style to perfection

Match of the night by a small margin

Security John’s review

I like the classic heel start, right into some good stiff technical wrestling. Early on, this match has the best pacing of the night. the boys are working stiff. Both men are moving good, little wasted movement in this one. Two guys who work really well. This was a very clean match.

Divine Dominion vs Wrathlander

Match type: Tag TeamWinner / result: Wrathlander (DQ)

Willis2.23 / 5
Security John2.35 / 5
WIF average2.29 / 5
Willis’s review

Relatively high hopes for this match. Been marking for DD for a while now.
DD's offense looks great, Wrathlander not so much.

Big botch on a crucifix powerbomb, Megan lands right on Harley with all her weight. The move wasn't executed proper and didn't look believable. This hurts, both rating wise, and literal wise.

Schiavone has been off all night, this man has gotten so many names wrong. Calls statlander "Harley" twice before they correct him

He keeps sayin "Wrathlander, if you will" and its like "ya dude, i will. its their fucking name"

Statlander is moving like she is covered in actual ring rust

Sisters of sin come in to give Wrathlander the DQ victory

Security John’s review

Divine Dominion is a pretty good-looking women's tag team. Two absolute brutes for women.

WrathLanders offense Doesn't look as convincing early, but they do pick it up in the second half.

Absolutely devastating botch on a crucifix I'm pretty sure Megan Bayne just killed Harley Cameron.
